生产商有时要配合市场的需求而生产透明性较佳或具有特殊颜色的热熔压敏胶颜色是从哪里来的呢?为什么有些热熔压敏胶会比其他的热熔压敏胶更透明呢?颜色和透明性意味着品质高低吗?为什麽大部分的客户都喜欢浅色和透明的热熔压敏胶呢?
 
一、热熔压敏胶的颜色和透明性
 
在我们所处宇宙中的任何材料,其中的电子受到特定能量激发时会发射出不同波长的光,而显示出不同的颜色。通过人的眼睛或仪器可以观察到这些颜色。
 
产生较深的颜色
 
当热熔压敏胶的组成份中含有较高极性官能基和/或双键或三键时,就容易产生较深的颜色。因此,当热熔压敏胶配方中含有未经氢化的碳氢树脂和天然松香以及萜烯衍生物等极性较高的原料时,通常会比含有氢化组成分配方的颜色要深。
 
另一种产生特定颜色的方法是在热熔压敏胶中加入具有颜色的填料—有机染料或无机颜料。二氧化钛 (TiO2),氧化锌 (ZnO)和炭黑是生产白色和黑色热熔压敏胶最常使用的典型颜料。
 
(1)配方中各原料间相容性很好
 
热熔压敏胶配方中所使用的各原料间的相容性非常好,即具有相似的溶解度参数,不管它们颜色的深浅,通常所配出的产品都会是较透明的。
 
(2)配方所用各原料间相容性很差
 
相反的,对于相容性较差或不相容的原材料构成的热熔压敏胶配方来说,生产出的产品外观则通常是混浊或不透明的。
二、颜色和透明性并非一个局限性考量
 
在很多应用场合裡,颜色和透明性可能并不是一个考量的问题。然而,混浊或不透明配方产品的热安定性通常比透明配方产品较差。
 
因为原料间的溶解度相差较大时,配方中不相容的组成分在长期受热或在较高温度环境下作业时容易发生相分离。要说明一点,上面所提到的混浊和不透明外观并不适用于有结晶的材料,如蜡和乙烯-醋酸乙烯酯(EVA)等的乙烯链段。
 
三、水白色透明的热熔压敏胶应用
 
很多用户(尤其是亚洲国家的用户)经常因为想获得透明的产品外观,而要求热熔胶制造厂提供水白色透明的热熔压敏胶于这些应用场合。为了达到此目的,这些配方就必需选用水白色的氢化增黏树脂。此外,所选用的所有原材料需具备良好的相容性。

1、 Color and transparency of hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive
 
 
 
In any material in our universe, when the electrons are excited by a specific energy, they will emit different wavelengths of light and show different colors. These colors can be observed through human eyes or instruments.
 
 
 
Produce darker colors
 
 
 
When the components of the hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive contain higher polar functional groups and / or double or triple bonds, it is easy to produce darker colors. Therefore, when the hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive formula contains raw materials with high polarity such as unhydrogenated hydrocarbon resin, natural rosin and terpene derivatives, the color of the hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive formula is usually darker than that of the formula containing hydrogenated components.
 
 
 
Another way to produce a specific color is to add a colored filler, organic dye or inorganic pigment, to the hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesive. 2、 Color and transparency are not a limiting consideration
 
 
 
In many applications, color and transparency may not be a consideration. However, the thermal stability of turbid or opaque formulations is generally worse than that of transparent formulations.
 
 
 
Because of the large difference in solubility between raw materials, the incompatible components in the formula are easy to separate when they are heated for a long time or operated in a high temperature environment. It should be noted that the turbid and opaque appearance mentioned above does not apply to the vinyl segments of crystalline materials, such as wax and ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA).
 
 
 
3、 Application of water white transparent hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive
 
 
 
Many users (especially those in Asian countries) often require hot melt adhesive manufacturers to provide white transparent hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive for these applications because they want to obtain transparent product appearance.
